Requirements

• Must be a registered RVT/LVT
• Preferred 1-year previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant/Technician

Position Summary:

Our front desk staff helps to set the tone for the entire client experience from their first interaction whether this is via a phone conversation or face-to-face interaction. This individual is often responsible for whether a client schedules their initial visit or comes back for follow-up care. Our front desk staff is an integral part of the overall team here at Healthy Pets. Without their role the medical team would be able to effectively fulfill their roles. This individual is one who must be able to take on many different facets within the hospital as many different situations will arise which they must be able to identify and know the appropriate next steps to ensure the patients receives what they need in a timely and correct manner.

• Greet & welcome each client as they enter the practice in a warm & welcoming nature
• Appointment scheduling based on needs of patients for well, sick, and surgical appointments
• Processing of payments after appointments have been completed
• Ensure lobby area remains clean and organized at all times
• High level of empathy for both patients & their owners is imperative
• Written communication correspondence with clients via e-mails
• Collection of messages in an accurate & complete manner for doctors/staff from clients
• High level of acumen in area time management, organization along with the ability to multitask is necessary

Experienced Part-Time Veterinarian Needed

Healthy Pets of Houk Road | Delaware, Ohio

Healthy Pets of Houk Road is looking for an experienced, compassionate veterinarian to join our close-knit team on a part-time basis. We are privately and locally owned, proudly independent, and part of a small, like-minded eight-hospital group in central Ohio that values autonomy, trust, and long-term relationships.

If you are an established veterinarian who loves quality medicine, respectful clients, and a genuinely supportive workplace, you will feel right at home here. Recent graduates will also be considered.

We are hiring a part-time veterinarian to work 2-3 days during the week and 2 Saturdays a month. Opportunities may be available to work at additional locations within our group if full-time work is desired.

About the Practice:

Healthy Pets of Houk Road is a full-service small animal general practice, primarily seeing dogs and cats, with the option to expand into other interests if desired. One doctor sees pocket pets and another doctor will be starting Large Animal in the summer of 2026. You are NEVER expected to see Large Animals or Pocket Pets/Exotics if that is not your thing. But if it is – Great!

Do not let the size of our small building fool you; we truly believe what is on the inside counts.

Open Monday and Tuesday 8a-5p, Wednesday 9a-6p, Thursday and Friday 9a–5p, Saturday’s 9a–1p

Closed Sundays, no on-call, no boarding or grooming

We are equipped with:

Digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray, and Ultrasound – with a Board-Certified Radiologist available for in-house cases

In-house lab (Idexx blood & urine analyzers; Bionote)

Fully equipped surgical suite with multiple anesthetic machines and advanced anesthetic monitoring

Position Summary:

Our kennel technicians serve a key piece to care of the patients and the clients who trust their care to us. It is imperative for these individuals to not only exhibit high medical care but superior customer service as well. In addition, they must be a team player who understands the vision of the practice and thus help foster the culture to achieve this mission. This role needs someone who is able to be proactive and adaptable individual who is able to critically think based on the wide array of ever-changing scenarios we see with our patients.

Job Functions (may/may not include following duties)

• clean cages, runs and bathing area as needed
• feed and medicate boarding animals as directed
• do laundry, dishes, and cleaning in kennel
• record and report important information about animal’s conditions
• exercise animals
• prepare for dismissal ( bathing, toe nail trims)

Requirements

• Preferred 1-year previous experience as a pet care position
• Must be compassionate and sympathetic and be able to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor during emotional and stressful situations.
• Needs to be team player who is open to learn new skills, provide insight, and is adaptable
• Must possess excellent communication skills both verbal & written.
