Doctor Daniel Bishop

Doctor Daniel Bishop

Dr. Bishop grew up in the small town of Richmond, Ohio. He fostered an early love for animals and decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. He received his B.S. in Agricultural Education from The Ohio State University. He went on to earn his doctorate of veterinary medicine from OSU as well.

Dr. Bishop enjoys practicing the different facets of both medicine and surgery. However, his favorite part of veterinary medicine is getting to know the wonderful patients that he treats and the "pet parents" that care for them.

Doctor June Huff

Dr. June Huff has been a Columbus native since day one. Born at Riverside Hospital, she grew up a Buckeye from the start. After completing her Bachelor of Science at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, she returned to Columbus to attend the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her Doctorate in 2002 and graduated Magna cum laude with honors. Dr. Huff also received the Excellence in Small Animal General Practice award. Dr. Huff joined the Healthy Pets team in June 2002. Her areas of interest include ultrasound, cytology, and internal medicine. When not chasing a toddler around the house, she enjoys art (including the pictures hanging in the lobby of our Rome-Hilliard office).

Doctor Rochelle Long

Doctor Rochelle Long

Dr. Shelly Long grew up in Parma, Ohio. She always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. and gained experience working at a pet store and then a vet clinic before heading to The Ohio State University. After completing three years of undergrad, she applied and was accepted to the College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 1998, Shelly moved to Clearwater, Florida, where she practiced medicine for three years. After enjoying the fun and sun in Florida, she and her husband, Brian, relocated to Columbus and she joined the Healthy Pet's team. She currently enjoys working full time with the staff and clients of the Grove City office.

Doctor Hal Taylor

Dr. Hal Taylor III began his career in veterinary medicine watching his grandfather and father taking care of other people's animals. Seeing many changes since those early days as a child, he chose the field of veterinary medicine. This choice was in large part due to all the medical advances and challenges it holds.

His choice of veterinary medicine has allowed him to explore many different areas, including medicine and surgery using the latest advances in technology to deliver the best medicine possible. He is one of a handful of surgeons in central Ohio who are certified to provide the TTA knee repair surgery. While he enjoys all areas of veterinary medicine, the most rewarding cases for him have been in the treatment of cancer patients.

Doctor Jill Bishop

Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Dr. Jill Bishop made her way to The Ohio State University to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian in 1997 upon graduating from Notre Dame Academy. She began her studies at OSU and was active in several animal agriculture related organizations. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2001 from The Ohio State University College of Agriculture with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Animal Science. Growing up with horses, she assumed her career would take her in the equine medicine direction, but shortly after beginning her veterinary studies at OSU, she realized her passion for canine and feline medicine prevailed. Dr. Bishop is a 2005 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary medicine.

Doctor Michael Kelleher

Doctor Michael Kelleher

Dr. Michael Kelleher was raised in Alliance, Ohio. He was the youngest of seven children. After attending St. Thomas Aquinas High school in Canton, Ohio, he received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. Dr. Kelleher worked in Dover, Ohio at a mixed animal practice before coming to Healthy Pets in August 1997. Dr. Kelleher lives with his wife and three children. His children are active in sports, school, and church activities, which keep Dr. Kelleher and his wife busy. Dr. Kelleher loves golfing, working out, practicing his faith, and Ohio State sports. He has been active in promoting veterinary medicine in all levels of education through mentorship programs, career days, explorer groups and Boy and Girl Scouts of America.

Doctor Elizabeth Mahle

Doctor Elizabeth Mahle

Dr. Elizabeth Mahle grew up in Beavercreek, Ohio, and as a 4th generation Buckeye received her B. S. in Biology in 2000 and her B. S. in Animal Sciences in 2001 from The Ohio State University. She went on to receive her DVM from The Ohio State University in 2006.

Dr. Mahle lives with her husband, Tony, and their daughter Samantha. She also shares her home with 5 black cats and 2 birds. Samantha looks forward to becoming a big sister in the near future. But sometimes we think she will be just as happy with a puppy.

Doctor Adriane Ventresca

Doctor Adriane Ventresca

Dr. Adriane Ventresca, CCRP, attended Ohio State for both her undergraduate degree and for Vet school. Since elementary school she has trained and showed dogs in conformation, obedience, and agility trials. She and her husband currently share their home with 5 dogs, a cat, and a rabbit. Dr. Ventresca joined Healhty Pets in 2007, and splits her time between multiple Healthy Pet locations. Her special focus in canine rehabilitation often takes her to our Wedgewood location, where our aquatic treadmill and therapeutic laser equipment are located. She is one of a few veterinarians in Ohio to have received her Certified Canine Rehabilitation Specialist designation from the University of Tennessee.

Doctor Katie Heckel

Doctor Katie Heckel

Dr. Katie (Gannon) Heckel was born in Columbus but spent her childhood in Perrysburg, Ohio. She returned to Columbus in June, 2000, to attend The Ohio State University for her undergraduate degree and never left! During undergraduate, she participated in intramural volleyball, soccer, softball and was a member of the women's glee club. The summer of her junior year (undergraduate) she studied in Toledo, Espana working towards a double major of biology and spanish. Her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree was obtained from The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation in June of 2008, Dr. Heckel joined the Healthy Pets team.

Doctor Robert Lang

Doctor Robert Lang

Dr. Robert Lang was born and raised on the shores of Lake Erie in Lorain, OH. Dr. Lang earned both his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. Starting with Healthy Pets as a veterinary assistant while working on his DVM, Dr. Lang has worked with the Healthy Pets group since 2003.. You can now find Dr. Lang several Healthy Pets Hospitals depending on the day of the week. His medical interests include surgery, dermatology, and internal medicine. Dr. Lang currently resides in Hilliard with his Doberman Baron. When not in the office he enjoys golfing, fishing, and Ohio State athletics.

Doctor Andrew Queler

Doctor Andrew Queler

Dr. Andrew Queler was born in Bronx, New York and grew up on Long Island. He received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude. He also rowed three years with the SUNY Albany Crew team where his team won the silver medal at state championships. He joined the practice in June 1999 upon graduation from the The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine. His special interests include small animal medicine and surgery along with avian and exotic animal medicine. He and his wife Heather have three beautiful children: big sister Kylee and twins Braylee and Brayden.
